Meet our Staff

John and Joanie Bovard

John is a  graduate of Roberts Wesleyan College (BA. in Social Work). After working several years as a caseworker in  Rochester, NY  he followed God’s call to the mission field and has worked fulltime with Youth for Christ for nearly thirty years. He has served as the Executive Director for Twin Tiers YFC (Elmira, NY), North Country YFC (Cambridge, NY) and now with Lehigh Valley YFC (Allentown./Bethlehem, PA)  Additonally, John has guest preached in numerous churches, as well as, serving as the pastor of a local church for eight years while he directed YFC in Cambridge, NY.

Joanie, who holds a degree from Monroe Community College (Secretarial Science), works for the Allentown School District as the secretary to the director of grants and development. She also serves as YFC’s administrative assistant and bookkeeper and generally does all the stuff that John hates to do. Joanie is also a long time volunteer with Campus Life and City Life clubs. She is our "girl Friday"!

John and Joanie will joyfully celebrate twenty- five years of marriage this year and are parents to their precious kids Hannah Joy (13) who is in the eighth grade and Benjamin (11) who is in sixth grade.

Please remember to pray regularly for the Bovards as they seek to reach spiritually lost and searching young people of the Lehigh Valley with the life changing message of Jesus Christ.
